Many individuals may not qualify for coverage due to health issues. A gap in health and dental coverage may mean significant out-of-pocket expenses for some families. Conversion plans offer uninterrupted coverage without a medical questionnaire.

Apply within 60 days

Within 60 days of termination from a group benefits plan, you can apply for individual Extended Health and or Dental guaranteed coverage with no medical underwriting.

I’m retiring. Is there an age limit to apply for coverage under a conversion plan?

No. There is no age limit to apply for conversion coverage. Premiums for the coverage are age banded.

What if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

There is no medical underwriting. Acceptance is guaranteed within 60 days of losing group coverage.

What benefits are covered under a conversion plan?

Most conversion plans offer coverage for the following:

Do I have to use the same insurance provider that my group plan was with?
